Hello, world!

I think I really am the laziest blogger alive. Or maybe I'm just too occupied with other things to blog but I'm here now! I really wanted to go a goodbye 2011 post but it's obviously a tad bit too late for that. Oh well (: It's already 2012. Time passes by really fast, I think. College's going to end in about 3 to 4 months. I'm partially excited, partially reluctant to leave college. Anyway, this big issue about the world ending in 2012. I think the one thing I'll be saddest about if the world really did end this year would be the fact that I never got to call myself a doctor. I have my fingers and toes crossed about the world surviving all the way till year 3000. Just saying, you know?

I've been rather busy this year. I honestly prefer being busy than being bored but it feels as if I have no time for myself anymore. It's like I have no time to read things I want to read or write stories or play the piano or anything. Just a few months to go till I get to do all these things again. It's taking so much effort to stop myself from buying new books. Self control, Rianne. Self control.

ANYWAY!

SAM Fiesta was a blast! The juniors in TDC this year are wonderful. I don't know all of them though but I'd like to get to know them throughout the year. Some are rather entertaining but I don't think I'll get into that here. The performance by the seniors for SAM Fiesta was pretty good, I think. Minor setbacks and such but all in all, I think it went pretty well. Pictures up in a bit. As usual, I don't bring my DSLR around cause it's heavy so credit goes to everyone else who bothered to bring their cameras.

Then came the latin competition! Yeah, I took part in this Latin competition last week and it was one hell of an experience. Second place, baby! :D It was great even if it took up a lot of my time and burnt this huge hole in my wallet. It was all worth it (: Stayed over at Cairynne's place right after SAM Fiesta and that was such an enjoyable time. I think 9 of us stayed over and we took lots of pictures and spent lots of time getting ready. I think I take a really long time to shower :S I'll work on that.

I don't have a pretty picture with John but just so you know, he was an awesome partner! I have 19 days till trials start and to be honest, I'm really not ready. Everyone will probably think it's just me being an idiot and such but really, I'm not ready. I'm not even done revising my syllabus so I think I'm about to burst BUT I will cope and I'll be okay. All the effort will be worth it in the end.

I'm falling sick, yep. I was sick last week and I got better and now I'm sick again. I gotta start taking good care of myself. Not. Allowed. To. Fall. Sick. Until. A2. Is. Over. My little plasma cells need to work overtime okay. I need more antibodies against everything. Guess I'm off now. I'll probably update in three months or something.

So it's already August! Time flies by really really fast. It seems like it was just a few weeks ago where I first started college. Anyway, TDC's production was just over last week! Dancing Through Time was a blast, really. Despite the countless hours of practices, the frustration, the blood, bruises, sweat and tears, it was all worth it. That satisfaction from just being on stage gives me a high that I've never ever felt before. Funny how I always told myself that I would lay off from TDC for awhile for A Levels but I never seem to be able to do so. Nothing feels more like home. It's not everyday you find a club with people who share the same passion as you.

So anyway! Production! There were the good things and bad things. Made new friends, some things were said and some were just well, left unsaid and some need not be said. Oh!

Nasty bruises, really. Then again, I already said it was worth it so it's cool (: Moving on, I realised I spent so much of my time dancing that I haven't really prepared for trials and I really don't wanna disappoint my parents but mostly, I just don't wanna disappoint myself. Maybe my 'average' is your 'superb' but hey, we've all got our standards. I also don't just wanna perform averagely. I'd like to be outstanding or something of that sort. Trials in 9 days time.

Two and a half weeks long. 13 papers. Bring it.

Classic Hollywood Glamour.

Classic Hollywood Glamour. That was the theme for CAL Senior Night this year. It was held last Friday in Marriott hotel and mind you, that place is so pretty. We were a tad bit behind schedule but everything ended up great in the end. Everyone looked so gorgeous, both guys and girls. Ah, I can't wait for my own prom next year. Anyway, looks like all the hard work and effort paid off, especially Janice's. Big kudos to her. It was definitely a night to remember even if it wasn't my own prom. Just so you know, I was there under student council and I was also performing under TDC (:

What made it better was the fact that my last paper of semester one finals was on that day so it was pretty much a celebration. The student council got two rooms to ourselves so we stayed over. It was cool, really. TDC's performance was pretty good too, I think but I have yet to watch a video of it, IF there's a video of it.

Moving on, I need to go out to watch movies. I'm going out for Green Lantern tomorrow. I. Cannot. Wait. Too excited for my own good, I think. Also, I've been eating so much. It's like all I ever think about is food which is well, normal. HAHA. I'm on holiday now. I think I'm gonna go and watch a few movies tonight cause I haven't watched the telly in ages. One last note, I'm performing for CPU prom this Friday night. Nervous, but excited.

TSL Scholarship Award Ceremony

Hello, world! Another performance down. It was during the TSL Scholarship Award Ceremony, btw! I got the scholarship as well :D Moving on, it was an okay performance, I guess. Good but not great. Ah well. More practice coming up soon. I have this nasty bruise on my left hip. It disgusts people but I find it cool. Those are like battle scars or something (: It's less than one month till my Semester 1 examinations start. I'm far from ready. In fact, I've only been studying for minor tests and not for Semester 1 exams. I should start studying consistently. Don't wanna disappoint mom and dad with my Semester 1 results. They might make me cut down in TDC time and that's something I don't want. At all.

On another note, I went to bed last night with a terrible sore throat hoping it'll be gone in the morning. Turns out, it got worse. I can barely put anything down my throat without it hurting. Honey doesn't seem to work at the moment. I also have a flu. I think my immune system has been taking a break from its duty. Migraines every single day in college isn't the best feeling in the world.

Things to do today :

1. Homework
2. Clean my room that looks like a pig sty
3. Write my personal statement
4. Write out the fact sheet for student council
5. Eat and sleep
6. Study!

I guess that's all I have to do. I really wanna watch Red Riding Hood, btw. I also can't wait for Pirates of The Caribbean to be released. Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow is just epic. He's uber hot too so heh *insert fangirl scream* Okay I think I'm heading to the doctor now. Gonna check on my nasty throat. One more picture for this post.
